Cranbery are based in the UK and make quality dog leads from climbing ropes, complete with carabiners. They got in touch with me through Instagram and asked if I’d be interested in promoting their brand and photographing one of their leads. I chose The Cedar lead due to its bright and vibrant colour, knowing that it would stand out against a landscape and my black spaniel.
The day of the shoot was a hot and sunny day, and The Roaches rocky landscape with far-reaching views provided the perfect backdrop. I chose to mainly use a low aperture, keeping the depth-of-field very short to help focus the attention onto the lead itself.
