Hey there,

I’m Jack,

an outdoor and adventure photographer based in the UK, living in my trusty campervan amidst the stunning Scottish Highlands. With a proven track record in the outdoor industry, I’ve gained extensive experience around the world capturing a wide range of different subjects and moments. But at the core of my work lies an unwavering passion for adventure that fuels my creativity. From classic road-trips to trekking in the Himalayas, I’ve been privileged to document countless trips and tell unique stories through my lens. With proficiency in both photography and video, I’m excited to bring my expertise and passion to create visually compelling content that resonates with your brand and captivates your audience.

The problem

Standing out in a saturated world

In today’s increasingly saturated world of photo and video content, it has become harder than ever to stand out and grab people’s attention. As an outdoor photographer and videographer, I have observed the shift in the industry towards more engaging and emotive content. It’s no longer enough to simply capture someone standing in a dramatic landscape wearing a product; people now need to relate to the content on a deeper level. They want to be inspired, to see themselves in the content, and to believe in the brand and its products. However, achieving this level of connection is challenging in short photoshoots where planning, logistics, and time constraints limit the ability to truly embrace the spirit of adventure.

92% of consumers trust user-generated content more than traditional advertising. 56% are more likely to buy a product after seeing a positive user-generated image or video of it

The Solution

Real-World Adventures That Resonate

As someone who has been exploring the great outdoors for most of my life and currently living and working out of a campervan in the Scottish Highlands, I am most comfortable and inspired in nature. I thrive on adventure, and I have experience as the sole photographer/videographer on various expeditions, capturing the special moments that tell the story and creating content that resonates with the audience. Whether I’m shooting for work or just pursuing my own outdoor activities, I am always outdoors, hiking, camping, cycling, climbing, and capturing content. I am passionate about creating genuine and relatable content that not only inspires and motivates others, but also aligns with the brand’s vision and resonates with the target audience, driving meaningful engagement and fostering a strong brand connection.

Target Audience

Identifying and Aligning with the Right Audience

Prior to the shoot, I’ll work closely with you to clearly identify the target audience of the expedition. The core concept is that the audience will relate to the adventure, want to learn more, check out the clothing, and aspire to emulate the experience themselves. Therefore, it is essential to identify and understand the target audience’s preferences and ideals. I’ll collaborate with you to create a series of target audience examples and then work to cast models that align with these ideals, ensuring that the content resonates with the intended audience.

Shoot Concept

Capturing the Spirit of Adventure

Based on a series of products, themes, locations, or wild ideas, I’ll plan and bring to life a multi-day adventure that encapsulates the true morals and ethos of your brand and products. The goal is to create content that is genuine, relatable, and aspirational, and that stays true to your core values. With no predetermined timeframe, the adventure can be as ambitious or elaborate as desired, ranging from a basic overnight wild camp in the mountains to a two-week expedition in a remote wilderness. I’ll work with you to outline key areas of the products, adventure, and brand identity to highlight and reinforce in the content. Activities could include hiking, camping, climbing, alpinism, mountain biking, skiing, canoeing, or pretty much anything we can come up with!

Deliverables

Tailored Content to Meet Brand’s Needs

All deliverables will be discussed and outlined in advance of the project to ensure clear expectations and understanding on both sides. Photographic and video content can be customized to meet any specific needs and requirements. As an example, the output from a shoot can include 70-100 images per day and 5 minutes of video per day. All content will be made available to the brand, and usage rights can be confirmed to ensure maximum utilization of the content.

Other bespoke deliverables can include creating a mini-documentary, writing a blog post or article detailing the adventure, creating a behind-the-scenes video showcasing ‘the making of the adventure’, or collaboration with the brand on Instagram where I have a large active following, primarily composed of an audience in the UK interested in the outdoors and adventure activities. Rates for Instagram posts and stories can be discussed as part of the project.

Budget

Flexible and Tailored to the Adventure

The budget for this type of adventure is extremely flexible and can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the project.
